We are pleased to share that EPS Ph.D. student Kate Hendrickson (working with Shaunna Morrison) has joined NASA’s Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity rover mission as part of the CheMin team. Kate will serve as a payload uplink/downlink lead, conducting mission operations and contributing to the scientific interpretation of mineralogical data collected in Gale crater. This role places her directly in the operational and scientific heart of one of NASA’s flagship planetary missions. Congratulations to Kate on this outstanding achievement!
