Dr. Bob Kopp has received a 2024 fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation for his work on climate change.
From the Guggenheim Foundation, “the Class of 2024 Guggenheim Fellows was tapped on the basis of prior career achievement and exceptional promise.”
"Humanity faces some profound existential challenges," foundation president Edward Hirsch said. "The Guggenheim Fellowship is a life-changing recognition. It’s a celebrated investment into the lives and careers of distinguished artists, scholars, scientists, writers and other cultural visionaries who are meeting these challenges head-on and generating new possibilities and pathways across the broader culture as they do so.”
Each year, the Guggenheim Foundation awards approximately 175 fellowships to individuals making their mark in the social sciences, the natural sciences, the humanities, and the creative arts. Click here for the full list of fellows.
