EPS Associate Teaching Professor, Dr. Lauren Adamo, recently earned the Level 1 and 2 badges from The Office of Teaching Evaluation and Assessment Research and the University Equity and Inclusion Office through their university wide Classroom Inclusivity Series. This program aims to promote Inclusive Scholarship and Teaching and to support a more well-rounded understanding of Classroom Inclusivity. Participants are tasked with implementing changes within their courses to align with 1 of 3 different competencies. Dr. Adamo collaborated with Rutgers Teaching and Learning to implement a new lesson on Cultural Humility, and lessons exploring DEI identities and accommodations in STEM fields. These lesson plans can be viewed on the course website, “Talking Science in Costa Rica”.
