Ken Miller photoOn the 10-year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy which made landfall in New Jersey in 2012, our Distinguished Professor and Graduate Program Director, Dr. Ken Miller, appeared on multiple news outlets to provide his insight on the devastating event of Hurricane Sandy and the challenges that New Jersey residents face in the near and distant future. As an expert in sea-level changes, Dr. Miller predicted that the local sea level in New Jersey's coastal plain can raise up to 3 feet by end of the century during his interview with Fox Weather. He provided this information to help the people of New Jersey, particularly those who live near the shore, plan accordingly. In his other interview with LX News of NBCUniversal, he explained the impact of hurricanes like Hurricane Sandy on big cities such as New York City. In this interview, he also gave his perspective on how to mitigate the impact of storms on coastal regions such as New Jersey and New York. We thank Dr. Miller for providing his insight and we look forward to hearing more about his research on sea-level changes!
