D28F64E6 8274 465C 8A2C 0F7D27295048 1 201 aA new NSF Geophysics grant to Vadim Levin worth ~$177K will support a three years long program of collaborative research with colleagues from Yale University, University of Vermont and Williams College that will combine analysis of new seismological observations collected in New England with a range of tectonic and geochronology studies aimed collectively to understand the fate of the continental lithosphere in the Appalachians. It will support graduate research by Roberto Masis and will include ample opportunities for undergraduate research.
EPS department investment in portable seismographs and field vehicles was instrumental in developing the collaboration over the course of a few years, and culminating with this award.
